A GoFundMe has been launched to support the family of 9-year-old Archer Lowe, who was tragically killed after being hit by a school bus while riding his bike on June 25, 2025.
The community has responded in a big way.
The crash happened around 3:40 p.m. near R. Tait Mackenzie Public School on Paterson Street. Archer was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. Lanark County OPP continue to investigate.
The fundraiser, organized by local resident Michelle Maguire, soared past its initial $18,000 goal as donations rolled in raising tens of thousands of dollars.
Funds will help cover funeral costs, counselling, and time off work for Archer’s parents, Sarah and Nathan.
Described as a vibrant boy who loved soccer, Pokémon, and animals—especially his dog, Moose—Archer dreamed of becoming a soccer player.
