The Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) marked a big year of progress at its 2025 Annual General Meeting, held June 24 at Almonte General Hospital.
The event brought together staff, volunteers, board members, and community leaders, including MPP John Jordan, to honour the people and projects that shaped local health care over the past year.
MRHA leaders highlighted the opening of the new Thomas Cavanagh Emergency Department in Carleton Place and the arrival of a donor-funded CT scanner in Almonte as major wins for rural care.
Outgoing board members were recognized, and new team members were welcomed. The Chiefs of Staff from both hospitals praised the strong collaboration between sites.
MRHA President Brad Harrington said the year was about building something lasting and local, with a focus on community-driven care. The group’s new strategic plan will shape the future.
