TR Leger schools across the UCDSB are gaining traction.
The school offers alternative paths towards a high school diploma as well as skill development programs.
Superintendent Eric Hardie says the in-person classes have few in attendance.
They’re consolidating two sites next year in Brockville and Carleton Place as a result, which will save the board $220,000.
Hardie said despite this, word’s spreading about the work and people are responding.
Trustee Corina Parisien says her husband is a proud graduate, and alternative education is important to talk about.
