Lanark County officially cut the ribbon to reopen the newly replaced Blakeney Bridge in Mississippi Mills last month.
The project took two years to complete caused by a delay, after it closed to the public last July.
Elevated river flows from significant rain impacted the ability to work in the water last summer.
The project also cost about $425,000 more than the original $4 million price tag, after council approved additional funds coming out of a closed session in October.
