Carleton Place Public Library’s Heidi Sinnett was awarded one of the inaugural Asset Builders Award by the Lanark County Child and Youth Services Collaborative. Heidi has been with the Library for almost 20 years, and in that time has transformed traditional Children’s Services into a system that is dynamic, modern, and responsive to the needs and interests of local youth. Heidi tells us what the award means to her.
One of her many programs and events, the Mini-Maker Craft Fair is a great example of bringing great opportunities to younger users of the Library
She adds that attendees to the Fair are always impressed with the professionalism of the young craft vendor entrepreneurs.
