Ford is recalling nearly one million vehicles across Canada and the U.S. due to a potential safety issue with the low-pressure fuel pump.
The defect could lead to engine failure while driving, raising the risk of a crash.
Notification letters to affected owners are being sent starting today.
However, Ford says a fix for the issue is still being developed.
The recall covers:
- Ford Bronco, model years 2021 and 2022.
- Ford Expedition, 2022.
- Ford Explorer, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford F-150, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford F-250 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-350 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2021-2023.
- Ford Mustang, 2021 and 2022.
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility, 2021 and 2022.
- Lincoln Navigator, 2021 and 2022.
- Lincoln Aviator, 2021-2023.
