Drivers on Highway 511 should plan for delays this week as overnight paving begins north of Tatlock Road.
Thomas Cavanagh Construction crews will start night work tonight from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., continuing again overnight tomorrow, Tuesday, July 22. The project covers a 3.4-kilometre stretch of roadway starting 3 kilometres north of Tatlock Road.
To limit disruptions to daytime drivers, all work will take place at night. One lane will stay open throughout the project. A pilot vehicle will guide traffic safely through the construction zone.
Lanark County Public Works Manager Sam Poole is reminding motorists to slow down, follow signs and obey flaggers during the paving operation. Minor delays are expected.
The county is thanking drivers for their patience and cooperation while the road gets a fresh layer of asphalt.
