
The venerable Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust is back this August with their most popular annual event; The Festival of the Wild Child. It’s happening at the High Lonesome Nature Reserve in Pakenham on Saturday August 23rd, volunteer festival coordinator Morgan Crampton explains what it’s all about
Morgan gives us details on some of the events.
There will also be some quieter time with the Storybook Tent and local experts will be on hand to guide families along the trails and lead hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and joy. Morgan stresses the importance of what the Festival offers.
Admission is free for youth under 16 and $10 each for adults and those 16 and older. Food and drinks will be available to purchase and pets should be left at home; the wildlife will thank you. The rain date is August 24th. For up to date activity details and preregistration go to mmlt.ca.
