
A Jasper man is facing multiple charges following a suspicious fire at a home north of Brockville earlier this month.
Shortly after 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a structure fire at a single-family dwelling.
The home was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported.
Following an extensive investigation by the Leeds OPP Crime Unit, police executed a search warrant at a property on County Road 7 near Jasper.
Officers seized a range of items, including:
- A semi-automatic rifle
- A high-capacity magazine and ammunition
- Body armour
- Brass knuckles
- Explosives containers
- Approximately three grams of suspected fentanyl
- Over 70 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- More than 430 grams of an unknown white substance
- A riding lawnmower
- A passenger vehicle
- A travel trailer
- A pickup truck
- Several cellphones
As a result, 40-year-old Graham Drew of Jasper has been charged in connection with the investigation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
