We’re in for a good show Friday and Saturday when the Perseid meteor shower makes its annual appearance.
While Tuesday and Wednesday night the shower’s expected to peak, Hobby Astronomer Frank Hitchens says the receding full moon from August 9th will make the show more viewable at the tail end of the week.
Hitchens goes over the ideal viewing location.
The shower arrives on the same day each year due to an ongoing cycle.
What follows is the debris and sand which creates the comets we see.
Hitchens says the show will begin around 10 p.m. each night.
