
Lanark County OPP have charged a 43-year-old Toronto man after an intimate partner violence investigation at a remote camping area in Lanark Highlands Township.
Police say officers responded just after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, following reports of threats. After speaking with those involved, officers arrested the man.
He is charged with assault with a weapon and seven counts of uttering threats.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025.
Police are not releasing his name to protect the victim’s identity.
