Rideau Lakes council wants a closer look at how many residents use neighbouring municipal facilities to see if they’re getting value for their money with their recreation agreement.
This is something Councillor Jeff Banks has been asking for.
Banks felt asking residents themselves through a survey won’t get them far, as Councillor Dustin Bulloch suggested.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom cautioned that no matter what neighbouring staff come back with, the data will be incomplete.
The current recreation agreements with Athens, Westport and Smiths Falls expire at the end of next year which could trigger a funding formula review.
