Smiths Falls Police say a breach of probation investigation has led to multiple charges, including possession of child pornography.
Police report they received information about a possible probation breach on August 10, 2025. Officers launched an investigation and learned the suspect was also allegedly in possession of child pornography. The individual was located and arrested without incident.
A 28-year-old male is now charged with possession of child pornography (x1) and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order. Police say he was held in custody pending a bail court appearance.
Two days later, on August 12, Smiths Falls Police received further information alleging the accused breached a non-communication condition while in custody at a correctional facility.
Following this, the man was charged with two additional counts of failing to comply with his probation order.
Police confirm he remains in custody while awaiting his next court appearance.
His name has not been released.
