Lanark County OPP have laid charges after responding to an intimate partner violence call in Montague Township on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Police say officers were called to an address just before 5:30 p.m. Following their investigation, a 40-year-old from Montague Township was charged with uttering threats, transmitting an intimate image without consent, voyeurism, and three counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on September 22, 2025. The person’s name has not been released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Police are reminding residents that victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault are not alone. Anyone in immediate danger should call 911.
