A driver was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries after a rollover crash on Burnstown Road near Calabogie Monday morning.
The OPP say the man swerved to avoid a deer, lost control, and ended up in the ditch.
Authorities are reminding motorists that the safest response when a deer appears is to brake firmly and stay in your lane.
Swerving can lead to more severe crashes.
They add that dawn and dusk are peak times for deer movement, and where there’s one deer, more may be nearby. Motorists are urged to keep their eyes on the road and ditches ahead.
