Lanark County OPP have charged a 41-year-old Ottawa man following an investigation into intimate partner violence.
Police began looking into the case on Sunday, August 31, 2025, after learning the man intended to fly to Ottawa to locate the complainant.
Officers intercepted him at Ottawa International Airport and arrested him without incident.
He faces two counts of criminal harassment and a breach of recognizance. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The man’s name has not been released to protect the victim’s identity.
