The Downtown Smiths Falls Business Association (DSFBA) is celebrating a success beyond their dreams: The inaugural season of Bike Nights in the town.
For four nights this summer, hundreds and even more than a thousand motorcycles on some occasions have roared their way on to Beckwith St. in the downtown core for an evening of live music, comradery, vendors, food, and an opportunity to show off their wheels to other bikers from across eastern Ontario.
On the last Bike Night of the season, this past Wednesday, DSFBA Coordinator Megan McIlvenna said it exceeded their wildest expectations.
And McIlvenna says that as far as a draw for local business goes, it’s bolstered an already busy tourist season.
Business owners are telling her, they’re impressed.
It goes beyond local businesses too.
McIlvenna says they’re working to sell the town to visitors on a regular basis, and the Bike Nights have done nothing but help that cause.
When asked if the Downtown Smiths Falls Business Association would host Bike Nights again, McIlvenna responded with an emphatic yes.
Residents can prepare to be revved up once again in the summer of 2026.
