LanarkLeedsToday.ca is starting a new series keeping conversations surrounding Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in the forefront.
We share the goal of helping to eliminate the IPV epidemic from Smiths Falls, Lanark & Leeds, and beyond.
It will feature weekly guests, and Lanark County Interval House’s Erin Lee, as well as the LanarkLeedsToday.ca newsroom.
Lee says among the topics to be explored are the effect of the 86 recommendations from the Renfrew County Inquest into ending IPV is having on our communities.
To accomplish this, guests from various sectors, all impacted in one way or another by IPV comment.
Lee says its about looking at the issue from a proper perspective with the proper players involved.
Guests will include local law enforcement, victim services, members of the media, local politicians, members of social assistance programs and more.
