The Terry Fox Run is back in Person in Perth thanks to Finnegan Insurance Brokers, a longtime organizer of the local effort now back at the helm.
The run goes this Sunday, with registration at 8:45 at Conlon Farm.
Finnegan’s Laurie McMunn is on the organizing committee for the run. She says they’re excited to have it back in time for a special milestone.
Thousands of participants will take part in runs across the country. Collectively, in the four and half decades since its inception, the run has raised close to a billion dollars for cancer research.
McMunn says the Perth run has raised an amazing total itself.
You can register at TerryFox.org, or McMunn says just show up at 8:45 at Conlon Farm to register in Person for the run and much more.
That’s on tope of a BBQ for participants too.
McMunn says people keep coming back to the run, because it’s hard to find someone who has not been touched by cancer.
You can also donate during the Perth Night Market at Finnegan Insurance. They’ll have a table set up in front of their store.
