A recycling truck had to dump its load in the Settler’s Ridge Mall parking lot in Smiths Falls Thursday after a load of cardboard caught fire.
The image, captured by a member of a Smiths Falls community group on Facebook, was posted with a query as to what happened.
Reportedly, a fire started in the truck and the crew quickly found a safe place to dump it. Smiths Falls Fire and Police Services responded and the fire was extinguished quickly.
The crew is being thanked for acting quickly to avoid an even larger incident.
