Tribunal-led mediation remains ongoing in the Ontario Land Tribunal case involving a proposed subdivision by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited.
Since February, multiple sessions have brought together representatives from the Town of Perth, CAIVAN, legal counsel, expert witnesses, and a Tribunal-appointed mediator. The most recent meeting was held on August 19, with the next session scheduled for September 23.
Because discussions are still underway, no hearing date has been set.
In a statement, the Town of Perth said it remains committed to pursuing a resolution that balances community interests with responsible growth, noting that mediation provides an opportunity to ensure any development aligns with the town’s values and long-term planning goals.
Town staff and Council are not able to comment further while the case is before the Tribunal.
