Rideau Lakes Township Council has approved a by-law authorizing a tri-party agreement with Elizabethtown-Kitley and Goldie Mohr Ltd. for the replacement of the Townline Bridge.
The contract was awarded to Goldie Mohr Ltd., the low bidder at $491,000, with costs to be split equally between the two municipalities.
Rideau Lakes’ share amounts to $249,820.80, plus an additional $180,748.56 for project management, engineering, and contingencies.
TSI Inc. has been retained to provide project management and ensure compliance with Rideau Valley Conservation Authority requirements and tender specifications.
Work is expected to be completed by November 10, 2025.
The township had budgeted $600,000 for its portion of the project, with actual costs now estimated at $430,569.36.
