After less than a year, the Darou Farm Working Group presented their five-year development plan to Perth Council.
Town Director Cathy McNally noted that public consultations brought a record number of responses.
The first phase dog park, almost completed, will bring an annual operating cost of $11K.
Over the next two years phase two will see trail connections developed with benches and fitness signage.
After the dog park and future trails will come phase three in 2027 and 28 with picnic shelters, tables, a water station, garbage receptacles, and improved trail signage.
The final phase will involve passive gathering spaces for education and wellness.
Staff will seek community sponsorships, volunteer partnerships, and grants to help offset set costs to the Town.
The grand opening is slated for October 4th.
The farm is located at the south end of Town and was purchased in 2004 as a buffer to the landfill site.
