Beckwith is hosting a free Mental Wellness Festival on Saturday, September 27, at the Beckwith Recreation Complex.
Families can enjoy an EarlyON play space, children’s entertainment, light refreshments, and snacks.
The event is hosted by Children’s Resources on Wheels (CROW) and Lanark County.
Organizers say the festival will also feature helpful mental health and wellness resources, along with free swag bags for attendees.
CROW’s Jane Paul says her group is known for their work with children, but the day is really for everyone in the community.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the indoor turf and promises something for all ages.
Paul says the goal of the day is to promote positive mental health and awareness while bringing the community together in a family-friendly setting.
The planned activities are designed to support wellness, reduce stigma, and connect residents with local supports.
Paul says its all about coming together and gaining knowledge of what supports are available to residents of the area, should they need help with their mental wellness.
The event is made possible through the support of EarlyON Child and Family Centre, Mills Community Support, Lanark County, and the Government of Ontario.
Organizers encourage everyone to stop by, enjoy the activities, and learn more about mental wellness in a welcoming environment.
