The Lanark County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 39-year-old Ottawa resident after a serious collision with a train in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.
Police say the crash happened on Station Road on Saturday, September 27, 2025, just after 3:45 a.m.
Officers had received a traffic complaint involving the same vehicle before the collision occurred.
The driver, identified as Sierra Zeron-Robb, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and arrested following the incident.
As a result of the investigation, Zeron-Robb has been charged with impaired driving, refusing a breath demand, three counts of assaulting a peace officer, common nuisance endangering life, and failing to give way to railway equipment at a road crossing.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Perth court on October 27, 2025. The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
