Carleton Place is reminding residents that its fall curbside leaf collection program begins November 3 and runs until November 14. Officials say the program helps keep neighbourhoods clean and welcoming for both residents and visitors.
The town has noticed some paper yard waste bags being placed at the curb too early. Residents are asked to remove them until the collection period officially begins.
Until then, bags can be dropped off at the compost facility at 1 Bates Drive, open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or stored in a dry place at home.
To stay informed, residents can check their waste collection schedule online, download the Recycle Coach Waste App, or pick up a printed copy at Town Hall.
The town says following the collection schedule ensures leaves are picked up on time and helps maintain the beauty of Carleton Place.
