Residents in Smiths Falls and the rest of the WOW FM listening area have a variety of events to enjoy this week. Weekly bingo takes place at Perth Civitan Hall today with doors opening at 5 p.m. and games starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free, and bingo cards are available for purchase.
Seniors can join the Active Living Fair on today at 10 a.m. at the Perth Legion. Hosted by PEP Seniors Therapeutic Centre, the fair features guest speaker Dr. John Puxty along with exhibitors, health professionals, and service providers sharing activities, programs, and resources for seniors.
For a spooky night out, the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum hosts a Ghost Walk tomorrow from 7–9 p.m. Tickets are $10, and participants must pre-register at 613-283-6311 or heritagehouse@smithsfalls.ca
for a candlelit tour filled with local ghost stories.
In local sports:
CCHL play has Smiths Falls in Kemptville tonight. On Friday the Bears welcome Rockland. Saturday sees Smiths Falls host Rockland, while Carleton Place in in Ottawa to face the Jr. Senators in the first half of a home-at-home series. On Sunday, Carleton Place hosts Ottawa in the second half.
Turning to the EOJHL: The Smiths Falls Jr. Bears host Casselman tomorrow. Friday sees Perth host Athens, Carleton Place head to Embrum, and Smiths Falls in Winchester. On Saturday, Carleton Place hosts Embrum, and Perth heads to Glengarry. Then Sunday, Smiths Falls is in Athens.
