
The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged 22-year-old Kolton Purdon from Drummond-North Elmsley after an impaired driving investigation on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Officers stopped two off-road vehicles on Christie Lake Road just before 9:30 p.m. Both ATVs fled the scene. The OPP Canine Unit located one driver nearby, while the second driver and passenger were found at a residence.
Purdon was transported to the Perth OPP Detachment for testing. He faces charges including impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, impaired operation, obstructing a peace officer, fleeing a peace officer, driving without a helmet, and carrying a passenger on a non-passenger ATV.
He has been released from custody and will appear in Perth court on November 17, 2025. His driver’s licence is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
