Anyone who has had to sit and wait in their cars for boats to go through locks in our listening area won’t have to do that for another few months after today.
The Rideau Canal corridor officially closes its season today at 5 when the last boats get locked through.
After that, workers go home until the May Long-Weekend.
Parks Canada asks residents to stay away from lock-stations over the off-season.
