Here’s what’s up!
Today’s the day! The 88.1 myFM and 92.3 WOW FM radiothon for local health care is on the air from 8am until 6pm, raising money for our local hospital foundations and community health care.
There’s no shortage of great local eats and entertainment this week!
Tonight, it’s Bingo Night at McDonalds Corners Agricultural Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with bingo starting at 7 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be available.
Tomorrow, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475 in Toledo serves up its famous Friday Night Wings from 3 to 7 p.m. at 320 County Rd. 8 — dine in or take out by calling 613-275-2400.
Also tomorrow, the Smiths Falls Legion hosts Fish & Chips Night from 4 to 7 p.m. at 7 Main St. E. One piece is $15, with extra fish for $10.
In local hockey action:
CCHL play returns Friday as the Smiths Falls Bears host the Nepean Raiders at 7:30 p.m., while Carleton Place visits Hawkesbury. On Saturday, the Canadians travel to Renfrew, and Sunday has Smiths Falls hosting Cornwall.
In the EOJHL, the Perth Blue Wings welcome Athens Friday night at 7:30. Also Friday, Carleton Place is in Embrun and Smiths Falls visits Perth. Saturday sees Perth in Glengarry and Carleton Place hosting Embrun. On Sunday, Smiths Falls heads to Athens to face the Aeros.
