Lanark County OPP participated in a safe driving campaign on Tuesday, Oct 14th, focusing on cell phone use by drivers.
Officers patrolled Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills Twp and Beckwith Twp. laying seven charges for using a handheld communication device as well as a seatbelt charge.
The OPP reminds the public to use Bluetooth, pull over to the shoulder or pack your phone away until you’re finished driving.
