At their annual conference earlier this year, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) announced the launch of their Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan.
AMO President and Westport Mayor Robin Jones was excited to see plans put into motion.
Robin states the reasons behind AMO’s involvement are clear.
Robin, herself, was elected as chair of the steering committee in charge of the plan. She notes the milestone it represents.
AMO represents 444 municipalities across the Province and their annual convention gives municipal councillors, mayors, and staff the opportunity for face to face connections with Provincial Ministers.
