The Mississippi Mills Youth Centre received some outstanding news recently on the funding front, with one donation being accompanied by invaluable opportunities for youth to explore careers in the trades.
Wil Foster, Operations Manager for Chandos Construction explains.
Investing in youth is a logical path for Chandos as Wil notes.
In addition, Chandos will be inviting the youth at the centre to host a construction site barbecue next spring with food supplied, giving them the opportunity to raise funds and to see skilled trades in action.
Lilli Nothnagel, executive director of the Centre says the donation will go to good use and she is extremely grateful for their support.
Mississippi Mills’ Council Committee also voted to increase the Youth Centre’s annual funding to $55,500 in recognition of their needs and value to the community. Lilli says this will bring a brighter future for the Centre.
