Ashley Knapton, owner of A-List Ag Services has been experiencing a very busy first year in business as a crop advisor to area farms.
Thanks to a grant she recently received, she was able to purchase an enterprise drone with sensors and software developed to track and measure the state of crops in the field.
She found out it had another very important use to help both crops and farmers stay safe from a common problem.
A satellite imaging service she uses led her to discover the reason for a recent substantial loss of a corn crop.
She believes her new equipment acquisition will provide an edge in helping farmers increase crop yields while reducing costs.
