Lanark County OPP have charged a 34-year-old Campbellford man with impaired driving following a collision with a deer in Mississippi Mills Township.
Police say the crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, on Highway 7. The driver, identified as Jordan Pegutter, was arrested at the scene and transported to the OPP detachment in Ottawa for testing.
Pegutter faces two charges: operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 17, 2025. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
