Smiths Falls Police responded to 639 call in September, down from 638 in August.
Deputy Police Chief Chris Kettyle broke down some of the numbers for the police services board.
There were three drug offenses, same as in August, nine mischief calls, down by one, and 10 harassment calls, a drop of two from the previous month.
Kettyle says that show an obvious downward trend.
The Deputy Chief says they’re also working proactively to ensure they engage with the public in different ways.

Kettyle also says they have a number of ongoing investigations involving, but not limited to: child-luring, missing persons files, robbery and sexual assault cases.
