The Ontario government announced the 2026 Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund Friday.
Seven of nine area municipalities are all receiving more funding than last year’s deposit, which is the greatest annual contribution the province provides.
It is geared especially towards small, rural and northern municipalities, and municipalities with more challenging fiscal circumstances like smaller tax bases.
The coffer is $600 million this year, $50 million more than 2025, but Carleton Place and Montague saw cuts.
