Michael Cohen presenting to Smiths Falls council in 2023.
The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital remains focused on modernization in the years ahead.
It was only less than a year ago they ditched paper tracking for electronic records, which is a huge bonus for staff retention and recruitment, says CEO Michael Cohen.
He was addressing Smiths Falls council as part of the hospital’s annual request of funding for the following budget year, asking the town for $174,341 once again in 2026.
Cohen says one of their main focuses now surrounds the standardization of their nursing model of care
Cohen addressed Lanark County council in October explaining a lack of long-term care beds have added to their workload.
