Here’s what’s up!
The Hackberry Men’s Shed meets tonight at 6:45 in the Carleton Place Arena boardroom at 75 Neelin Street. It’s free and open to all mature men — a great way to connect and share projects. Learn more at hackberrymensshed.org or call 613-257-1690.
Tomorrow night, the Perth Civitan hosts its weekly bingo at the Civitan Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m., games begin at 7. Admission’s free, with bingo cards available for purchase — a mid-week chance to have some fun and maybe win a prize.
Also tomorrow, Rubies in the Rough, the women’s singing group, meets 7 to 9 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Smiths Falls. The fall session runs through mid-December, and new members are always welcome.
And for those who love great conversation, drop by Coutt’s Coffee in Perth for Coffee and Meaningful Discussion from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. — a weekly chat filled with thoughtful topics and friendly faces.
Around the junior rinks this week:
Local Junior A action resumes Thursday when the Smiths Falls Bears head to Cornwall for a date with the Colts at 7:30.
The Bears are back at it Friday when they host the Ottawa Jr. Senators at 7:30, while the Carleton Place Canadians welcome Navan at 7:45.
Then Sunday the Bears are in Pembroke at 7 and Carleton Place welcomes Kemptville at 3:00 pm.
In Junior B: Athens is in Ottawa at 7:20 this evening.
The Jr. Bears welcome Winchester at 7:30 on Thursday, then they head to Arnprior Friday for a game against the Packers.
Also Friday, Perth hosts Carleton Place at 730. The Jr. Canadians then get set to welcome Renfrew on Saturday, also at 7:30.
Sunday has the Blue Wings playing in Richmond at 1:20. Athens hosts Glengarry at 2:30.
