A Perth resident is facing several charges after a vehicle fled from police and led officers on a short chase Friday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m. on October 31, 2025, a Lanark County OPP officer tried to stop a suspicious pick-up truck on Port Elmsley Road. Police say the driver sped away, driving dangerously.
For safety reasons, officers did not pursue, but other patrols were alerted. The vehicle was later found abandoned, and the OPP Canine Unit tracked down the suspect hiding in a nearby field.
Ridge Michael, 35, of Perth, faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving, flight from police, driving while suspended, and failing to comply with an undertaking.
He was held for a bail hearing scheduled Monday, November 3, in Perth.
