Smiths Falls is reminding residents that cloudy or “milky” tap water may appear during the colder months.
Town staff say the change is normal and happens when tiny air bubbles form as cold water warms up while travelling from the watermain into homes.
The water is still safe to use.
Officials say the cloudiness disappears within minutes as the bubbles rise and clear on their own.
The Town adds that no action is needed from residents, and the appearance is purely cosmetic.
Anyone with questions about water quality can contact the Town for more information.
