Perth’s downtown is gearing up for a festive and busy holiday season, with two popular events inviting people to shop local and enjoy the community spirit. Alongside Once Upon a Christmas, the Perth BIA is also bringing back its annual Shop, Stamp and Win program.
BIA Coordinator Nancy Wing says the long-running promotion is designed to encourage people to explore downtown shops, restaurants and services over the holidays.
When shoppers collect stamps while making purchases, they can enter to win major prizes in the new year. Wing says that includes a grand prize donated once again by Perth Parkside Inn and Spa, offering a one-night stay and a $250 spa gift certificate.
Wing says the prizes reflect how strongly downtown businesses support the community and each other.
The BIA is also reviving a Holiday Window Display Contest, a nostalgic throwback inspired by a 1970s news clipping showing local business owners proudly posing with their winning displays. Wing says that her asking her colleagues a question.
Voting opens Saturday through QR codes posted downtown, with prizes donated by BIA members.
