The CPKC Holiday Train rolls through the region this evening, marking its 27th year.
Featuring live music by Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse, the annual tradition supports local food banks and raises awareness about food insecurity.
The train will make its first stop in Merrickville at 5pm at the Broadway Crossing, then head to the old Train Station in Smiths Falls for 6:30 p.m. and Perth at the Wilson St. Crossing for an 8 p.m. performance.
Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected about 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
Community members are encouraged to donate and enjoy the show.
