Perth is getting ready to shine brighter than ever as the Festival of Lights & Drone Show takes over the night sky tonight.
Before the show begins, the town is putting important road closures in place to keep crowds safe and ensure everyone gets a great view.
Market Square will close at noon as crews begin setting up for the event.
Starting at 5:15 p.m., Basin Lane from Colborne to Gore Street and part of Tay Street will shut down, with barricades in place to create a safe viewing area.
With this closure, a portion of the Tay Basin parking lot will be unavailable for vehicles for the evening.
Parking will still be available in surrounding lots, on Colborne Street, and in designated on-street spaces.
Residents are encouraged to walk to the Basin for the best sightlines, as the drone show is expected to be a highlight of the season.
Organizers say to bundle up, bring a friend, and get ready for a night where the sky truly comes alive.
