Lanark County OPP are asking for the public’s help after a series of reported contractor scams targeting homeowners.
Police say a man has been approaching residents and offering to complete renovations or other home improvement work. Investigators allege the suspect collects a cash deposit, workers briefly begin the job, and then leave before the work is finished. The individuals are not seen again, and the project is never completed.
OPP would like to speak with the man believed to be connected to these incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident number E251636489.
Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police are reminding homeowners to be cautious when hiring contractors. They say residents should check references, verify credentials, and avoid paying cash deposits. OPP add that if a deal seems too good to be true, it likely is.
