A reminder that overnight parking bans remain in effect across Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place and several other communities as road crews continue cleaning up after Wednesday’s storm that dropped roughly 20 centimetres of snow across the listening area.
Municipal officials say plows need full access to streets as they work to clear packed snow and improve visibility.
Residents are being reminded not to leave vehicles on the road overnight, as doing so could lead to fines or even towing at the owner’s expense.
Public works teams spent most of the night digging out main routes and neighbourhood streets.
Officials thanked residents for their cooperation, saying it helps speed up the cleanup and keeps roads safer for everyone.
