Hinton Auto Group has donated $50,000 to the RCL Automotive Build a Mountain of Food campaign, providing major support for food banks across Lanark County.
The donation will be shared by the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank, the Good Food Bank at The Table Community Food Centre in Perth, and the Lanark Food Pantry.
Jeff Hinton of Hinton Auto Group said giving back is about responding to real needs in the community.
Hinton added the goal is to help multiple organizations.
RCL Automotive’s Chris Craig, co organizer of the Build A Mountain of Food Campaign said the campaign depends on community partners.
Craig also highlighted Hinton’s ongoing help.
The grand total from the six week campaign isn’t expected to be tallied until early in the New Year, when donations like Hinton’s all are accounted for.
