The Rideau Lakes Public Library is planning a full service review in 2026.
The undertaking will help assess where the support is most needed, with CEO Vicki Stevenson saying it’s an opportune time to do so.
That will undoubtedly include discussions of the Newboro branches future, with it operating since the 1850s.
Councillor and Library Board Member Marcia Maxwell knows that talk well.
The library is celebrating a very successful year with increased visitors all around.
There’s been nearly 69,000 items checked out through October across the branches and over 8,100 attendees of their year-round programs.
