Lanark County’s youth services community is mourning the loss of Kevin Clouthier, the longtime executive director of Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth.
In a statement, YAK Youth Services said it was deeply saddened by Clouthier’s passing, calling him a respected leader and valued partner.
Clouthier was instrumental in helping spearhead Planet Youth Lanark County and the Lanark County Child and Youth Collaborative, two major initiatives focused on improving outcomes for young people.
YAK also worked closely with Clouthier on the development of the Perth Community Youth Services Hub.
Clouthier was remembered as consistently kind, thoughtful and generous with his time. Colleagues say he was always willing to guide, support and collaborate on projects aimed at strengthening services for children and youth across the county.
YAK said the loss is deeply personal, noting its executive director has lost a mentor, counsellor and trusted organizational partner.
Clouthier’s dedication to collaboration and community has left a lasting impact throughout Lanark County, where his work will continue to be felt for years to come.
