A significant donation is helping push this year’s RCL Automotive Build a Mountain of Food campaign closer to the finish line as organizers begin tallying results across the region.
Wills Transfer Limited has donated $3,000 to the annual drive, with $1,500 directed to the Perth Good Food Bank and $1,000 going to the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank. An additional $500 will be used for food purchases at The Garden Market.
Campaign organizers say the donation highlights the strong community support behind the annual effort, which visits 11 communities each year to collect food and funds for local food banks.
Final totals from this year’s drive are still being added up, with organizers expecting to release complete numbers early in the new year.
Local radio stations 88.1 myFM and 92.3 WOW FM are proud sponsors of the campaign each year, helping spread the message across the region.
